This bag was upcycled from an original old Barbour jacket. The waxed fabric is water repellent.

The lining is the traditional Barbour check lining.

This bag has inside one big and two small compartments.

The 4cm wide strap is adjustable and adjustable to all sizes.

By upcycling vintage fabrics that don’t have any composition labels and washing instructions I can only rely on my experience an expertise to identify them. Also it is important to know that the fabrics used to create this bag are vintage materials that have existed for many years. A lot of them are also embroiled by hand and not machines so they may have slight imperfections. Telling tales of their past.

The material from which this bag is made is something very special.

It was woven in the traditional way on a wooden frame and comes from Nghệ Ander Province, a border region between Vietnam and Laos.

The work is demanding and time-consuming, which is why these fabrics are special and are valued accordingly. They are often part of the trousseau, a special gift or serve as an ornament on traditional clothing.
